Venezuelan ELN chief captured

London 24.01.05 | Colombian authorities captured three rebels of the Colombian National Liberation Army (ELN) who attempted, unsuccessfully, to assassinate José Libares, mayor of Arauca municipality. The attack was carried out with a grenade. One of the arrested, Raimundo Alfonso Montoya Grimon, carried two Venezuelan IDs, his true identity is yet to be established.
