Eva Golinger takes her spin to the American Library Association

By Aleksander Boyd

London 20.06.05 | It never ceases to amaze me the ability of certain people to keep duping others on themes of which they have no clue about. Such is the case of the 'darling of the revolution' Eva Golinger that is. Lately, camarada Golinger has been given royal treatment by the Chavez regime in Venezuela, put in five-star hotels, flown in business class and interviewed ad nauseam in the state media channel as 'expert in US destabilization techniques and vote rigging'. Very flashy indeed, however one should not be surprised by the knack of chavistas to be deceived, especially by 'international experts' that blow the revolutionary trumpet.

What does come as a bit of a shock is that the American Library Association (ALA) is hosting an event featuring la Golinger, who will entertain the audience with an account on "Destabilization, Disinformation, and Libraries". And speaking about destabilization, perhaps she will shed some light regarding Hugo Chavez's interference in the politics of Ecuador and Bolivia or how he shares Venezuela's executive powers, violating his own constitution, with the Cuban dictator moving then to the topic of disinformation, whereby she shall provide an insider's view on how to claim, illegally, monies from foreign governments whilst acting as an unregistered foreign agent in US soil or how to deceive people by making use of false claims of having a never-granted IRS status to, again breaking the law, solicit, and accepting, donations and contributions from the public or, should time permit, how to affirm publicly to be a lawyer, or a member of a legal association, without the backing of proper credentials.

Ergo the ALA audience is in for a real treat, so much for the upholding and utmost respect of their mission “to provide leadership for the development, promotion, and improvement of library and information services and the profession of librarianship in order to enhance learning and ensure access to information for all.”
