By Aleksander Boyd

London 14.03.06 | Hugo Chavez's judiciary issued yesterday an arrest warrant for the capture and imprisonment of journalist Ybeyise Pacheco. Claudia Mújica, counsel of Pacheco, informed yesterday that the 11th Tribunal issued the warrant, denying Pacheco the right to be tried in freedom, alleging that Pacheco had provided false testimony.

On a similar note, legal proceedings in the 45th Tribunal of Control will initiate against journalist Marianella Salazar, for slander against Vice President Jose Vincete Rangel and Chavez's right hand man and Governor of Miranda Diosdado Cabello.

On March 6th, journalist Gustavo Azócar Alcalá was arrested by the police in Táchira state, after an arrest warrant for his capture was issued by the 7th Tribunal of Control.
