Cuba's Ambassador slanders Capriles in Venezuela
By Aleksander Boyd
London 09.06.06 | One of the most disgusting ironies of the wretched chavista revolution is that of nationalism. Hugo Chavez loves to call himself before ignorant crowds the great patriot, the continental saviour from US imperialism and other such arguments. His malnourished supporters "revel" in the rhetoric hoping to get a handout, a pack of subsidised food, an oil contract, etc. Not content with the humilliation of sending military graduating officers to Havana to pay respect and swear allegiance to his beloved dictator-for-life, Chavez now allows Germán Sánchez Otero, Cuban Ambassador to Venezuela, to slander a Venezuelan citizen and interfere openly in Venezuela's internal and judicial affairs.
Germán Sánchez Otero argues that he managed to escape a "raging mob," purportedly led by mayor of Baruta Henrique Capriles Radonski, bent of lynching him during April 2002 events.
Capriles Radonski, just to clarify Venezuelan citizen residing in Venezuela assumedly protected by Venezuela's body of laws, was in fact trying to prevent the mob from doing the patriotic thing, which is, according to Hugo Chavez himself, to defend the country's sovereignty against unwanted and unwelcomed elements, as some phone calls to European Ambassadors and a video have demonstrated.
But see Chavez's Venezuela is not a sovereign nation but a satellite of the fucking Cuban dictator. Hugo Chavez has voluntarily surrendered our nation to the notoriously imperialistic designs of Fidel Castro. It makes my blood boil to see how this Sánchez Otero chap not only opines on matters that according to the most basic diplomatic principles are alien to him, he goes further, basking on the power and leverage that his boss exert over the pariah ruling our nation, and actually accuses and slanders at will Capriles Radonski and, to boot, no self respected so called chauvinistic chavista official or Venezuelan politico for that matter, dares to tell him to shut the fuck up and stay out of our sovereign matters. Much less is he expected to be sent back to his island immediately for such misconduct.
And then some still argue that chavismo spouses patriotism and sovereignty...
