Interview on Harry Belafonte & Hollywood useful idiots
London 15.01.06 | Rich Lafayette and Nick Grace interviewed me yesterday [fast forward to minute 20] with regards to the recent tirade in Venezuela of singer Harry Belafonte. George from the The Real Cuba also commented about the many useful idiots that have praised the Cuban dictator throughout the years. Hardly news for the learned observers and quite telling that autocratic regimes that embrace narcoterrorism are held in the highest of esteems by the hollow crowd of Hollywood.
In fact George cited a couple of comments that are worth highlighting. The first by Belafonte himself, who once said:
"If you believe in freedom, if you believe in justice, if you believe in democracy you have no choice but to support Fidel Castro."
Remarkable political acumen, isn't it?
The second by Steven Spielberg, who in turn once described his encounter with the bearded dictator thusly;
"The most important eight hours of my life."
One must wonder why these people don't move permanently to Cuba or Venezuela.
